CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charleston Southern's Bobby Ison has been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Baseball Player of the Week, for games played April 15-21, the League announced today.

Ison, a sophomore from Goose Creek, S.C., batted .526 (10-for-19) for the week in leading the Bucs to a 3-1 record, including a series win over Big South foe Presbyterian College. The centerfielder started hot with a 4-for-6 effort against Savannah State on April 17 as CSU exploded for 20 hits in an 11-5 win. He followed with a pair of multi-hit games in the Bucs' series against the Blue Hose over the weekend, including three doubles. He finished the four-game span with 10 hits and had a pair of stolen bases.

The honor marks his first Big South Player of the Week nod this season.
