City Of Tulsa's Surplus Auction Is Bargain Hunter's Dream

Posted: Updated:

This weekend's surplus action from the City of Tulsa was a bargain hunter's dream.

The city auctioned off items to the public.

The auction included mowing equipment, an incubator from the Tulsa Zoo, a hardwood gym floor and even a silk-screen printing system for T-shirts.

March Madness and Bassmaster Classic fans were in luck as there were sings being auctioned off.

"The buyers get really good buys, we get rid of items that the city no longer needs, and that is the main benefit," says Sandra Banks, coordinator for the City of Tulsa. "If you no longer need the item, why keep it?"

"It was my first auction, my first purchase; couldn't help myself," says Carlton Bailey who purchased a gumball machine for his goddaughter.

Other items up for bid included cop cars, heavy equipment, office equipment, generators and air compressors.

All sales were "as is."
