MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCIV) -- Deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriffs Office are investigating a possible robbery and carjacking.

According to BCSO spokesperson Dan Moon, the victim called for help around 9 a.m. from Mitton Road, near Highway 17A (North Live Oak Drive) and said that two men had robbed him at gunpoint and taken his vehicle near Mitten and Nero Lane.

Moon said the victim told deputies he had given two black male suspects a ride to that location and that when he turned the vehicle around the two men pointed a gun at him and told him to get out of the vehicle. He said a shot was fired but that no one was injured.

If anyone has any information that will assist the investigation, they are asked to call the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office at 843-719-4412.
