LADSON, S.C. (WCIV) - Deputies say two men were shot during a home invasion Friday night.

A female witness told investigators she was visiting the owner of the home on Kirkwall Drive in Ladson, along with her boyfriend.

Deputies say two men forced their way into the home through the garage door just before midnight and started shooting.

According to a news release, the female's boyfriend and the homeowner were shot and taken to Medical University Hospital.  The two suspects fled the scene and it is unknown if they were injured in the gunfire.

The incident report states that one of the victims was found on the front porch of a home two doors down with a gunshot wound to his left side.

The female witness says she got down on the floor and begged the men not to shoot because she has a baby.

Deputies say they recovered several weapons at the scene.  The incident report states that a rifle was found under a bush at the house.

A person with a gunshot wound showed up at Trident Medical Center, but investigators are not sure if he was involved at the shooting on Kirkwall Drive, officials said.

The condition of the victims is unknown at this time.
