WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCIV) -- Walterboro Public Safety officers were called to the Colleton County Medical Center after a man checked himself in with a bullet wound to his leg.
According to a police report, the victim said he was walking down Lincoln Street near Gruber St. on May 4 around 11:15 a.m. when a dark colored four-door vehicle approached him. He told police a black man inside the vehicle demanded money and threatened to shoot him.
Police said the victim gave the suspect $20 but was shot in the lower right thigh when he could not produce any more money. The suspects then drove off in an unknown direction.
Police have no other information on the suspects at this time.
