MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCIV) -- Berkeley County Sheriff's Office deputies got complaints of illegal gaming devices which turned into a citation for the business owner.

According to BCSO spokesperson Dan Moon, deputies with the Drug Enforcement Unit of the BCSO, along with South Carolina Law Enforcement Division agents, investigated the Hidden Cove on Reid Hill Road.

Moon said agents found two illegal gaming devices inside the business.

The owner, 57-year-old Bruce Owens was issued a citation for permitting an act which constitutes a crime and the gaming devices valued at $1,500.00 each were confiscated.

Just last month, BCSO Sheriff H. Wayne DeWitt issued a warning to businesses that illegal gaming machines would not be tolerated.

Anyone with information about these types of machines in Berkeley County are encouraged to contact the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office at (843) 719-4412 or (843) 719-4424.
