Wando wins another 4A state soccer title

(Gilbert, SC ) - The Wando girls soccer team has done it again. Capturing the 4A state championship on Friday night with a 2-0 win over J.L. Mann High School.

The Warriors, who have won three state titles in the past 4 years were led by Rachel Torlay who scored the first goal of the game. Hanna Ross would add an insurance marker in the 61st minute to seal the win.

"It has been our goal all year to get the state championship back to Mt. Pleasant," said Wando coach Shannon Champ. "

"I'm excited for my seniors who started their freshmen year with a state championship, and now they're going out with a third state title," added the excited coach.

Wando finishes a four year run with a record of 88-4, and three state championships.
