CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- While some may view graffiti as an art form, local businesses see it as unwanted vandalism and now police are looking for a suspect they identified by using Facebook.

The suspect, 31-year-old Ryan Davis, is wanted for tagging at least three businesses with graffiti and signing it "RX ONE."

According to the report, the Facebook page not only identifies Davis as "RX ONE" but had photos of his graffiti which police says is in the same "form and fashion" as the tags businesses have been complaining about.

According to his Facebook page, his work has also appeared in the Charleston City Paper.

The following businesses have filed reports with Charleston Police.

  • Kudu Coffee on Vanderhorst Street: Southeast wall
  • Rent Charleston on Wentworth Street: sign (damage est. $150)
  • Star Gospel Mission on Meeting Street: sign (damage est. $150)

In the case of Star Gospel Mission, the sign that was tagged is owned by the City of Charleston.

The investigating officer notes that "a tag is unique to each individual tagger and is not duplicated by any other person."

Davis is wanted for three counts of malicious injury to personal property.

Anyone with information about Davis can call Charleston Police at 577-7434 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
