MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCIV) -- Three people were arrested on Thursday after agents found an active meth lab at a home near Highway 17 and Farrell Street.

Deputies say they smelled a strong chemical odor coming from the home at 124 Chris Lane and saw a thick, white cloud coming from inside.

Agents with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office Drug Enforcement Unit found the lab in the kitchen, as well as methamphetamine components and paraphernalia throughout the house.

Agents arrested Bryan Allen Adkins, 26, of Moncks Corner, Matthew Benjamin Legetter, 32, of Summerville, and Brittney Dane Euthon, 23, of Goose Creek.

Adkins' address is listed as the home where the lab was found.

They were all charged with manufacturing methamphetamine. They are being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center awaiting bond hearings.

Agents say they expect more arrests to be made in this case.
