Fewer Young Americans Relying On Credit Cards

Many young Americans are steering clear of credit cards.

In fact, the number of those without credit cards has doubled since the recession.

About 16% of 18- to 29-year-olds didn't have a single credit card in 2012.

That's up from 8% in 2007.

As a result, credit card debt is also down.

But it's still about $2,100 per person.
