Glenpool Police arrested a Tulsa woman last week on accusations that she had a marijuana plant in her car during a traffic stop.

Officers placed 34-year-old Connie Delois Navarette in custody on complaints of speeding and cultivation of marijuana after police stopped her going 82 mph in a 65 mph zone on Highway 75.

Tulsa's Channel 8's community newspaper partner the Glenpool Post wrote that the officer reportedly noticed a plant sitting next to Navarette's 7-year-old son, according to the arrest report.

Navarette told police she had marijuana seeds and planted them to see if they would grow during the incident last Thursday.

She was held on $5,000 bond. Her son was released to a family member's custody.
