Mt. Pleasant police looking for man who attacked female jogger

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police say a man attacked a woman jogging Friday morning and tried to pull down her skort.

According to police, the incident happened around 9 a.m. near Salty Tide Cove. Police responded after receiving reports that a woman was screaming.

When police arrived, they met the victim who said she had been running near the entrance to Etiwan Pointe when a man approached her from behind and tried to pull down her skort. She described him as short and stocky with an Ace bandage covering his face, blue gloves and broad shoulders.

He was wearing a gray T-shirt and shorts, she told police. He is believed to be either Hispanic or white, police said.
