ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) -- Orangeburg County Sheriff's deputies say a disabled vehicle led to the seizure of drugs and weapons and landed one man in jail.

According to Sheriff Leroy Ravenell, an investigator saw a car parked in the middle of Moncks Corner Road in Eutawville Monday afternoon.

The investigator reports the driver was acting nervous and a background check revealed outstanding warrants so the man was arrested.

The suspect, Wade Carson Harmon, Jr., was searched and deputies found a plastic bag of marijuana, $1,334 in cash, a pipe, and a silver container containing methamphetamine. They also found a small clear plastic bag of a gram of marijuana in Harmon's shorts once he got to the detention center.

A search of Harmon's vehicle uncovered 35 grams of ground pseudoephedrine, two small plastic bags of cooked meth, 619 pseudoephedrine pills, a marijuana grinder, 272 lithium batteries, a 12 gauge semi auto shotgun, a bolt action 22 long rifle, a black Llama .45 pistol with a loaded magazine, and assorted paraphernalia associated with the cooking of methamphetamines.

"Investigator Boyne was observant and aware of his surroundings and exhibited some fine field investigation skills to arrest Harmon and halt his criminal activity," said Sheriff Ravenell.

Harmon is charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana, and Blocking the Roadway.
