CHARLESTON, SC – The New York Yankees have announced that left-handed pitcher Tyler Webb has been transferred to the Charleston RiverDogs from the Staten Island Yankees.

Simultaneously, right-handed pitcher John Brebbia has been placed on the disabled list.

A 6'6", 225 pound pitcher from Nassawdox, Vir., Webb compiled a 3-3 record and collected a team high 17 saves to go along with a 1.47 ERA for the South Carolina Gamecocks in 2013. Webb, a 22 year-old lefty, was a two-time College World Series champion at USC. He was drafted by the Yankees organization in the 10th round of the 2013 MLB Amateur Draft out of South Carolina.

Brebbia had recently been transferred to Charleston after playing with the Tampa Yankees for the first half of the season. The 23 year-old out of Elon University spent the majority of 2012 with the RiverDogs.
