CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- The Girl Scouts are selling Camp Low Country in Cordesville at auction after having it on the market for about two years.
The Post and Courier of Charleston reported the camp will be sold at auction July 26. The last get-together at the camp will be held July 12.
The executive director of the Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina says the 152-acre property along the Cooper River went on the market for $7 million in 2011. All the offers received were too low so the group's board decided to sell it at auction.
The camp is one of four properties that group put on sale in 2011. None has sold.
Graham says the Girl Scouts haven't used Camp Low Country in the past two years.
