Former Glenpool Football Star Arrested for Second Drug Related Offense

A former Glenpool football star was taken into custody on July 4 for his second drug related offense in just a little over a year.

Tulsa Police arrested current Oklahoma State University football player Isaac Maselera at 2:15 a.m.for DUI-drugs. At the scene officers witnessed his vehicle at 61st Street and Lewis Avenue sit through three cycles of a traffic light without moving.

KTUL's community newspaper partner, the Glenpool Post, reported that when the officer approached the vehicle he found Maselera passed out with his foot on the brake.

Police reports state the officer asked Maselera to step out of the vehicle and administered several field sobriety tests, all of which Maselera failed. Maselera also admitted to taking a Xanax and smoking marijuana about five hours prior to the stop.

Police reports state Maselera refused a blood test and was booked into the Tulsa County Jail. Jail records show he had a bond set at $750 and is scheduled to appear in court July 8.

Maselera was arrested on June 28, 2012 for possession of drug paraphernalia. Court records state he pleaded guilty to the charges and received a one year deferred sentence with Oct. 15, 2013 being the ending date. Maselera also had to pay a $250 fine and complete 20 hours of community service.
