Red Cross helping 2 Berkeley families after fires

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- Six adults and four children are receiving aid from the Red Cross after a pair of house fires in Berkeley County on Saturday. 

Officials with the Red Cross said the first fire displaced four adults and three children. Red Cross volunteers provided emergency shelter and food.

Then fire crews were called to a second fire in which a child and two adults were displaced. According to the Red Cross, the home was destroyed. 

Officials helped the family with food, shelter and clothing to replace the things the family lost in the fire.
