SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Summerville Sleep Center was recently granted accreditation by the American
Academy of Sleep Medicine as a sleep disorder center.
The Sleep Center provides care for people dealing with sleep-related disorders. According to a release from Trident Health System, 70 millions Americans suffer from some sort of sleep issue, including chronic fatigue, sleep apnea, snoring and insomnia.

academic and scientific value in addition to the highest quality care for
patients suffering from sleep disorders."
For a sleep center to receive accreditation, it has to meet or exceed guidelines set up by the AASM in areas of personnel, facility and equipment, policies and procedures, data acquisition,
patient care, and quality assurance.
