North Charleston man accused of stealing government property

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A North Charleston man was indicted Tuesday in federal court on charges he stole government property.

According to the U.S. Attorney's office, 57-year-old Julius Mitchell was indicted after the Social Security Administration and the U.S. Attorney's office in Charleston began investigating him.

If Mitchell is convicted, he faces a 10-year prison sentence and a $250,000 fine.
