Search ends for 3rd missing swimmer on SC coast

HUNTING ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV/AP) - The search is over on the South Carolina coast for a missing swimmer after the last of three bodies were recovered.

According to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, the  17-year-old was found washed up on shore after a rip tide pulled a group of swimmers away from shore off Hunting island on Sunday.

Authorities on Monday recovered the body of 38-year-old Tiem Mok of Chesnee, a day after they recovered the body of his son, 16-year-old Nathan Mok.

The last swimmer found was identified as Mikee Phomma, a relative of the two from Philadelphia.

Officials said a beachgoer found Phomma's body about a mile and a half from the Fripp Island inlet, about 3.5 miles from where he initially disappeared.

The trio and a 14-year-old girl were using a boogie board Sunday when it slipped from beneath them. The girl was able to make it back to shore although none of the group could swim.
