GEORGETOWN, S.C. (AP) - For the second time in a month, an inmate has been found dead in the Georgetown County jail.
The Morning News of Florence reported that officers found 40-year-old Craig Lambert of Georgetown unresponsive Saturday.
The coroner's office says the State Law Enforcement Division is investigating the incident.
Lambert was booked at the jail July 8 on charges including first degree burglary, two charges of grand larceny and the illegal purchase or transport of copper wire or pipe.
On June 25, Samuel Yenawine of Louisville, Ky., was found hanged in his cell and was pronounced dead at a hospital. Yenawine was being held on federal charges including racketeering, conspiracy to commit murder, illegally possessing guns and ammunition as a convicted felon.
