GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCIV) -- Three men are in the custody of Georgetown County deputies after a three-county chase that stemmed from a home invasion, robbery and assault.

Deputies say 19-year-old Marcus Deonta Lambert, 17-year-old Quantae Priest, and 17-year-old Daquarius Holmes were charged with kidnapping, first-degree burglary, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, grand larceny and first-degree assault and battery.

The three men are being held in the Marion County Detention Center until they can be moved back to the Georgetown County Detention Center.

According to deputies, the incident started around midnight Thursday when the three men knocked on the door of a Whites Creek Road home and asked to use the homeowner's cellphone. The man refused and the three men pushed their way inside, deputies said.

Lambert, Priest and Holmes then beat the man, ransacked his home and forced him into his car to drive to several ATMs and withdraw money. At a fas station, the man was able to fight the men off and run for help, deputies said.

Georgetown County deputies were able to relay a description of the victim's car to deputies in Williamsburg and Horry counties and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The report states Hemingway Police Department officers spotted the car on Highway 378 and followed them until they reached the Horry County line, at which point deputies from Horry and Marion counties picked up the chase.

At 2:30 a.m., Highway Patrol officials told Georgetown deputies that the chase had ended on Highway 501 when the suspects wrecked the car, the report states.
