SWANSEA, S.C. (AP) -- It may be hot outside, but one South Carolina school district is hoping to show kids how cool reading can be during the summer.

On Tuesday, Lexington School District Four is hosting its 2nd Annual Hot Summer, Cool Books Reading Celebration.

This year's party will include reading activities, games, food and special guests, including former University of South Carolina football and retired NFL player Langston Moore.

The celebration is taking place at Sandhills Elementary School in Swansea.
