Officials: Deputy found at fault for collision, not charged

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- A deputy with the  Berkeley County Sheriff's Office is in good condition after being found at fault for a traffic collision on Thursday, officials said.

Officials said the deputy, Patrick Moylan, 35, of Berkeley County, was trying to make a left turn on SC 41 at about 10:40 a.m. and failed to yield to a tractor trailer.

The driver of the tractor trailer, Joseph Martin, 63, of Conway, was trying to pass the deputy in the passing lane, officials said.

Moylan was taken to MUSC.

Officials said Martin was not injured.

Moylan was found at fault, but was not charged, officials said.
