CPD: No suspect in shooting

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police officers on foot patrol reported hearing between six and eight shots fired in the area of Hanover and Columbus streets late Thursday night.

According to a police report, they found a 22-year-old black male "slowly getting up from his back" saying he had been shot.

The victim pointed toward Line and Nassau streets, telling police the shooter went that way. The victim was taken to MUSC with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Police don't have a suspect at this time.
