Free breast cancer screenings held Tuesday

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Roper St. Francis is providing free breast cancer screenings to the public Tuesday.

Doctors will be giving free clinical breast examinations to attendees.

The free screenings are funded in part by the Lowcountry Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.

Mammogram funding is also available for eligible participants.

The screenings are being held in the Roper St. Francis Cancer Center located on the Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital Campus Tuesday, August 6 from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age and not have had a clinical breast examination or mammogram in the last 12 months. Uninsured or under-insured citizens are encouraged to attend.
