Police: More than $13,000 worth of TVs stolen from hotel

Posted: Updated:

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- More than $13,000 worth of televisions were stolen from rooms in a North Charleston hotel, officials said.

According to an incident report, the general manager of the Radisson on Rivers Avenue told police on July 30 that numerous LG 37'' flat screen televisions had been stolen from rooms in the hotel.

The report states that at the time of filing, more than 30 televisions had been stolen, each valued at $450.

Management believes the thefts to be an inside job because the rooms where the television were stolen were all being renovated or had maintenance issues and had no registered guests staying there when the thefts occurred, according to the report.

Officials are investigating the thefts.
