OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - A man who was convicted of sex offenses in South Carolina has pleaded guilty in Mississippi to failing to update his registration as a sex offender.

Evan Charles Leach was convicted of criminal sexual conduct in 2000 and 2003 in Colleton County, S.C. He was indicted in March in U.S. District Court in Oxford, Miss., of failing to update his registration in Mississippi and South Carolina from December 2012 to February 2013.

Court records said he had been in Dumas, Miss.

He pleaded guilty last week. The court website didn't list a sentencing date. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
