MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - A former dancer at a strip club in Myrtle Beach has sued the business, accusing the owners of violating state and federal minimum wage and overtime laws.
The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reported the lawsuit accuses owners of Thee New Dollhouse also improperly require dangers to share tips they earn for lap dances and other services.
Alexis DiGidio filed the lawsuit in federal court on behalf of dancers in similar circumstances. She worked at the club and its previous business between 2004 and 2011.
The lawsuit says DiGidio is now 1 of the club's wait staff.
The operator of the club, Michael J. Peter and Associates, has not filed a response to the lawsuit. There was no response to a message left early Wednesday.
