JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston County deputies are hoping someone recognizes the man they say robbed a James Island gas station on Monday of more than $1,300 of cigarettes.

According to deputies, the 5-feet 10-inches tall black man wearing a white tank top and white pants entered the Kangaroo on Folly Road and stole nearly 30 cartons of cigarettes from the store.

The suspect could then be seen running from the area with the box of stolen goods in hand.

Anyone knowing the identity and or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to contact the Charleston County Sheriff's Office at 843-202-1700 or Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
