SULLIVAN'S ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) -- A man caught what appeared to be a 7-foot shark fishing in the surf off Sullivan's Island Friday afternoon.

According to Chelsea Starkman, a witness on the beach at the time, the catch happened at Station 26 1/2 around 1:45 p.m.

The man pictured pulled the shark in, posed with him for a small group of onlookers, and then dragged the shark back out into the water.

The shark appeared to swim off unharmed.
