ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) -- Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell has released more details on the body found in a wooded area off Five Chop Road in Orangeburg.

Facial reconstruction was done to visualize what the deceased may have looked like.

Deputies said the black male was found dead on January 28, 2012. A hunter located the remains off a stretch of Highway 301.

"Since we first reported this case last year, we have updated the age of the male to be 15-21 years old and he had a pierced right earlobe," said Sheriff Leroy Ravenell. "He was wearing camel Timberland boots size 9 ½, a John Blaze jacket sized 3 XL that had lettering around the hood 'Cash Rules Everything Around Me' and red and blue Bugle Boy basketball shorts size 2 XL."

Ravenell says that they have been in contact with several agencies both across the state and out-of-state but have not been able to match the victim with existing missing person reports.

"We are grateful for the assistance of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division for providing us with a composite of what the young man looks like," he said. "We are hopeful someone will recognize him and allow his to make contact with the people who loved and cared for him."
