TPS Elementary School Locked Down After Student Threat

A Tulsa Public elementary school was locked down Thursday morning as police and school administrators investigated a students threats, according to officials.

McClure Elementary on 1770 E. 61st Street was put on a modified lockdown at 9:06 a.m. after a student threatened to come back to school with a weapon, said a TPS spokesperson.

Officials locked the school down while searching for the student, whose age is unknown.

The child was found shortly after, with no weapons on his person, and the lockdown was lifted just before 10 a.m.
