NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A bond court judge on Friday morning set bond at more than $30,000 for the woman whose infant daughter was shot by her toddler son.

Bond for Kalea Pryor was set at $25,000 for the unlawful conduct towards a child charge, $7,500 for the cocaine charge, and $5,500 for the marijuana charge.

According to affidavits, police found 35 grams of marijuana, nearly 8 grams of cocaine and a .38-caliber handgun containing one spent round and four lie rounds.

On Thursday night, police charged Pryor after her 8-month-old child was seriously wounded in a shooting. Pryor was charged with unlawful conduct towards a child as well as possession with intent to distribute marijuana and cocaine base.

According to police reports, officers responded around 5:45 p.m. and were greeted by a woman who told them "Help, the baby is shot! We need EMS!" Officers said the toddler approached them, took an officer's hand and began to cry.

Police say Pryor admitted to police she had gone outside to get crabs to cook for dinner when she heard a gunshot come from inside her home.

According to police, she ran inside to find her three-year-old son standing next to the gun and both he and her daughter were in tears. The mother told police she noticed blood, lifted her daughters dress and saw she had been shot.

Police say the toddler accidentally shot the infant with a .38 Special Charter Arms revolver.

The baby was taken to  Medical University Hospital for treatment.

Eartha Lee Reed, a neighbor, said she did not hear anything out of the ordinary, but became scared when first responders arrived to treat someone for a gunshot wound.

Reed said she was also concerned for the family.

Pryor's drug charges stem from narcotics in plain view, police said.
