Charity motorcycle ride to benefit veterans, the homeless

Posted: Updated:

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Palmetto Goodwill is hosting an event to benefit local homeless and struggling veterans on Sunday.

Riders in the 5th Annual Undy 500 Motorcycle Charity Ride will travel nearly 100 miles through the Lowcountry.

The ride starts at Low Country Harley Davidson and will make stops at four local Goodwill stores.

There will be an after party for riders at Red's Ice House at Bohicket Marina with live music and free food.

Proceeds from the events and programs will go toward supporting local veterans and Goodwill's annual 'Stand Down Against Homelessness.' The annual event allows hundreds of veterans and homeless people in the community to get medical and dental screenings, clothing, food, haircuts, and job and legal counseling.

The last riders are expected back at 3 p.m.
