SLED charges 7 in fraud of recycling center

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCIV) -- Seven men were charged by the State Law Enforcement Division in connection with the fraudulent sale of metal containers to a Hampton County recycling center.

According to a SLED release, the containers totaled more than $20,000. According to warrants, the men were selling Department of Waste Management containers to a recycling center for personal profit.

SLED charged 47-year-old Abraham Young, 36-year-old Richard Young, 38-year-old Anthony Dupont and 65-year-old Rodolfo Taylor with one count each of felony breach of trust with fraudulent intent.

Thirty-nine-year-old Eric Lamont Ferguson, 31-year-old Antonio Deshawn Ferguson, and 61-year-old John Lee Drayton were all charged with misdemeanor breach of trust with fraudulent intent.

All of the men are being held in the Hampton County Detention Center.
