Marine Veteran Begins Trek to Dallas in Honor of Fallen 9/11 Firefighters

A Marine veteran began his journey on foot from Tulsa to Dallas Wednesday morning in remembrance of the firefighters the died during the 9/11 attacks.

Lance Robinson's walk kicked off at the Tulsa Fire Department's Station #4. He'll be walking 343 miles to honor the 343 firefighters that lost their lives in the aftermath of the World Trade Center attacks.

According to a release, the International Association of Firefighters Local 176 said the Robinson will place an American flag in the ground every mile of his journey with the name of one of the fallen firefighters.

Robinson's fire station stops in Green County include Sapulpa and Bristow. He will also make appearances in Moore, Norman and Fort Worth.

His final stop will be at the JFK Memorial in Dallas. You can follow his journey on his Facebook page.
