SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- Almost $10,000 worth of property damage was done in a Summerville neighborhood after gunshots were fired, said officials with the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office.

According to a police report, neighbors reported hearing several gunshots along Braly Drive in the Greenhurst subdivision at about 1 a.m. on Friday.

One of the witnesses said the suspects sped past his home, deputies said. The witness said there were multiple people inside of the vehicle.

Another witness told deputies he saw a person lean out of a car window and shoot at a residence at 110 Braly Drive before speeding away, according to the report.

Damage to a glass door at the home and gunshot entry holes on the front and right sides of the residence totaled $5,000, according to the report.

Several vehicles in the neighborhood were also damaged by gunfire. According to a report, the vehicle damages are worth $4,800.

Deputies said a car matching the description given by witnesses was found running in the middle of the road with no one inside.

Dispatch confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Charleston County on Wednesday.

Deputies said they found a bullet next to the driver's side of the vehicle. They said fresh tire marks next to the vehicle suggest the suspects left quickly in another vehicle.

No arrests have been made.
