CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The College of Charleston announced its 2014 baseball schedule Tuesday.
The Cougars will face six teams that were in the NCAA Tournament last season (UNC, South Carolina, Coastal Carolina, UNC Wilmington, William & Mary, and Towson).
This will be the first season in the Colonial Athletic Association for the Cougars. The first CAA series will be on March 28 at Patriots Point as the Cougars play host to Northeastern. Last season, the CAA sent three teams to the NCAA Tournament (UNC Wilmington, William & Mary and Towson). The conference finished with the ninth-best RPI in all of college baseball with four teams cracking the top 100.
Fall practices are already underway, and Cougar fans can get a preliminary look at the College of Charleston Baseball Team at the 2013 Fall World Series, scheduled for October 25-27 at Patriots Point. For a complete look at the CofC 2014 schedule, click here.
