MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- The ribbon cutting ceremony for the 2014 corn maze at Boone Hall Plantation will take place on Monday, representatives announced Thursday.

Boone Hall is partnering with the Lowcountry affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure to honor the 20th anniversary of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

The eight-acre corn maze will display a design that pays tribute to the milestone anniversary for the annual race, which highlights breast cancer awareness in the Lowcountry.

"We are excited to be able to partner with the Komen Lowcountry Foundation to help further raise awareness for this cause and those who it affects," said Willie McRae, co-owner of Boone Hall Plantation. "This year's maze is quite impressive and we're sure those who visit will have a great time, while also helping support a noble cause."

The ceremony begins at 3 p.m.

The corn maze will be open every day starting October 1 until November 2. The maze will be open from 9 a.m.- 6p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from 11 a.m.- 6p.m. on Sundays.

There will also be a pumpkin patch and other fall attractions and events.
