NCPD: Man injured in drive-by shooting

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Shots were fired on Piedmont Avenue Saturday evening, said officials with the North Charleston Police Department.

Officials said officers responded to the 5000 block of Piedmont Avenue at about 5 p.m. and found a male victim.

The victim told officers he was standing at the entrance to a mobile home park when shots were fired from a vehicle driving by, officials said.

The victim was shot once in his right thigh and was taken to MUSC with non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

The victim was not able to provide any suspect information.

Officers are still investigating the shooting.
