NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Crews responded to a mobile home fire on Brossy Circle Monday afternoon.

The home is located just across Dorchester Road from Joint Base Charleston in Evanston Mobile Home Park.

According to North Charleston Fire Department spokesperson Bianca Bourbeau, first responders found heavy smoke coming from the trailer around 1 p.m. but said it only took 20 minutes to get the fire under control.

Bourbeau said the resident and three dogs were able to make it out without injury.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The North Charleston, Charleston and Joint Base Charleston Fire Departments responded.
