NCPD: Officers searching for suspect who robbed pharmacy

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- North Charleston police are searching for a male who officers said stole oxycodone from the pharmacy inside the Kmart store on Rivers Avenue.

Officers said they responded to the store at about 2:40 p.m. Friday in reference to an armed robbery.

The victim told officers a male approached the pharmacy counter with a note demanding oxycodone, officers said.

He told the victim he was armed but did not show a weapon, officers said.

Officers said the victim gave the suspect several bottles of pills and then the suspect ran out of the store to a turquoise-colored vehicle, where two other males were waiting.

Officers said the vehicle left the parking lot and headed in the direction of Goose Creek.
