Posted: Updated:
Two men are due in court next month after reportedly shooting five people at a Hmong celebration in east Tulsa.

Boonmlee Lee and Meng Lee are set for court hearings November. Both were formally charged with one count each of shooting with intent to kill.

Previous reports from KTUL state that both men entered the Green Country Event Center and opened fire during a Hmong New Years Celebration. Both were arrested near the scene with the help of Tulsa Police Department's helicopter.

According to a report from the Associated Press, the Lees and the five injured people are all ethnic Hmong, who hail from Asian countries including Laos, China, Vietnam and Thailand. Between 3,000 and 4,000 Hmong live in Tulsa, many arriving in recent years in search of jobs.

Both men were also charged with five counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, according to court documents filed Friday.
