A search has ended for an Oklahoma couple and a missing plane Tuesday morning since it was originally went missing earlier this week.

Officials told KTUL's sister station 40/29 (KHBS/KHOG) that the plane, a single-engine Piper Saratoga, crashed near Huntsville in Madison County. On the plane were Ivan and Adina Williams, from Pryor.

According to a statement from the Civil Air Patrol, the aircraft lost contact with air control and failed to arrive at the Claremore Regional Airport. Authorities added in their initial report that a man and a woman, believed to be the Williams, were found in the wreckage of the single-engine plane.

Search crews were on foot near Fort Smith after receiving word of the possible downed aircraft. Ten members of the CAP and two airplanes assisted in the search.

Earlier this week authorities stated they were looking near Fort Smith for the couple or the plane they were in. Their flight took off Monday morning and were suppose to arrive at the Claremore Regional Airport.
