HUGER, S.C. (AP/WCIV) - Two Moncks Corner brothers have died in a wreck on state Highway 41 in Berkeley County.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the wreck happened about 6:30 p.m. Sunday after a car ran a stop sign on state Highway 41.

Coroner Bill Salisbury says the victims were the driver, 23-year-old Christopher Bracewell, and his brother, 20-year-old Jonathan Bracewell.

Officials say Bracewell's Ford Focus ran the stop sign in Huger and was hit by an oncoming vehicle at the intersection of North Hampton Road and Highway 41.

The Bracewell brothers were pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Bill Salisbury. Cause of death was severe body trauma.

A family of four in an SUV from Mount Pleasant was hurt in the wreck. They were taken to the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston.

All involved were wearing their seatbelts.

The accident is under investigation by the Berkeley County Coroner's Office and the SC Highway Patrol.
