Hazardous Waste Collection Begins at the Tulsa Fairgrounds

Tulsa area residents will be able to drop off hazardous waste for proper disposal at the Tulsa Fairgrounds, Saturday afternoon.
 
The Metropolitan Environmental Trust is hosting the pollutant collection event so that residents can safely dispose of unwanted waste.

Residents can take any unwanted chemicals or other hazardous waste to Gate 7 at the Tulsa Fairgrounds today and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

What to get rid of:
-Household chemicals (fertilizers, pesticides, cleaning agents)
-Medication
-Oil-based paints
-Ammunition
-Anti-freeze
-Motor oil

Commercial waste, tires and latex paint will not be accepted at the collection sites.
