CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Charleston police responded to Market and Society streets early Sunday morning for reports of someone pointing a gun.

According to a police report, officers arrived around 1:40 a.m. and found the victims who pointed out the suspect, 38-year-old Jerry Thomas Sica.

Police found a black Ruger LCP .380 pistol when they frisked Sica and even though he had a pistol permit from Mobile, AL, that permit is not recognized in South Carolina.

The victims told police they were leaving Henry's Bar on Market when they saw Sica and his girlfriend, 27-year-old Kathleen Quinn, arguing. They said Sica was being violent towards Quinn and they stepped in to help her out.

That's when the victims said Sica pulled out his pistol, the victims backed off and he walked away with Quinn in tow.

Police made note in their report that both Sica and Quinn were highly intoxicated.

Sica was charged with three counts of pointing a firearm at a person, one count on unlawful possession of a handgun and one count of public intoxication. He was also charged with unlawful possession of a prescription drug after officers found three Viagra and two Vardenafil pills.

Quinn was charged with public disorderly conduct.
