Police Arrest Two Suspects, Schools Taken Off Lockdown

Police arrested two suspects and three Tulsa schools were taken off lockdown after a reported burglary Wednesday afternoon.

Tulsa Police responded the burglary in east Tulsa after receiving word that two suspects had broken into the home. It was when officers arrived that the suspects fled the residence.

Initial reports stated that the suspects were armed and had possibly fired gunshots in the area. Three schools were placed on lockdown while officers attempted to arrest the suspects.

A spokesperson for the school told KTUL that Cooper Elementary, East Central Junior High and East Central High School were all placed on lockdown.
