CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) --Local leaders are paying tribute to veterans Monday with visits around the Lowcountry.

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul is again making stops in South Carolina. He will be joined by Congressman Mark Sanford at a luncheon fundraiser being hosted in Charleston by the state Republican Party. He's also meeting with reporters.

Then on Tuesday, Paul speaks to the Corps of Cadets at The Citadel.

Paul, a favorite of tea party and other conservative Republicans, has made several trips this year to the state that should again in 2016 host the South's first presidential primary. In August, he spoke at U.S. Rep. Jeff Duncan's annual "Faith and Freedom BBQ" fundraiser in Anderson.

Paul says he has not decided whether he will seek the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.

Congressman Tim Scott will be in Walterboro to celebrate Veterans' Day at a Veterans Day Observance Ceremony at the Victory House.

Also speaking at the event will be General James Livingston, Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient, General Hugh Shelton, Former Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Tom Horton, President of Vietnam War POW's.
